The most powerful Ferrari road cars games ever unveiled ahead of motor show debut
prestige new cars  » Get the best price on a new Ferrari Earlier this week we brought you news of the Ferrari 620 GT, a car now confirmed as the F12berlinetta, and Ferrari’s most powerful road-going model yet, as Ferrari CEO, Amedeo Felisa intimated late last year.

The V12-powered supercar, designed in conjunction with Pininfarina, will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next week. The showcar, finished in tri-layer Rosso Berlinetta paint, is said by its makers to represent the very cutting-edge of mid-front engined sports cars.

Compared to the 599 GTB it essentially replaces, F12berlinetta is lighter, stiffer and shorter in wheelbase. Its total weight is just 1525kg and the car’s centre of gravity is lower and further back in the chassis, optimising weight distribution to 46:54 per cent front-to-rear, Ferrari says.

Powered by a 6.3-litre V12 engine F12berlinetta develops 544kW/690Nm. Drive is transmitted to the rear wheels via a “F1-style” dual-clutch transmission and E-Diff electronically controlled differential. Ferrari says the model is capable of accelerating from 0-200km/h in 8.5 seconds.

To maximise interior space, Ferrari has packaged the interior with two seats and additional luggage capacity. The driver-focussed cockpit is typical of all Ferraris, the HMI screen emphasised and all major controls positioned within immediate reach of the driver.

The Ferrari F12berlinetta will arrive Australia early next year (2013). Full specifications and pricing will be announced closer to that time.
