Spy photographs of the upcoming, all-new Mercedes-Benz A-Class have been published ad nauseum, but these latest photos from Carparazzi to cross our desk are worth a look because they show the car in close to final form, with much of the detail beginning to show through.
Prior to these photos, the most recent capture of the A-Class came via video footage shot by a passing cyclist of a car being filmed in the Canary Islands for what appeared to be marketing purposes.
The car looked very similar to a digital image from July 2011 that was produced by a Carparazzi artist.
The latest, very clear photos don’t leave as much to the imagination as previous spy pics. Very much in evidence are the mesh grille, the headlights and the signature arched side window line.
The rear end is a little less obvious but it’s possible to get a good idea of the taillight and rear window shapes, including the above-window spoiler.
What’s not quite so certain is the depth of the back window. It looks tiny in these photos, but there’s so much disguise tape that anything could be concealed including, possibly, a bigger glass area than indicated – although the wiper position indicates maybe the lower window line is fixed exactly as the photos suggest.
We’ll just have to wait until the next set of spy photos appear.
